Drinking water is important for our overall health both physical and mental health but its importance can be unnoticed if you are often busy or being stuck in the work can be distracting and lead to drinking water slipping your mind.  Staying hydrated is an important and healthy routine that one must include in their daily life.

These may seem simple and rather obvious to some, but we think that shining a spotlight on them can help us commit to making self-care with water a priority in our personal life.

In this post, we are going to learn some genius tips on how to incorporate more water intake into daily life.

How much water should we take?

We all heard that we should drink 8 glasses of water in a day however in reality; there is no such study to support this. It’s not a one size fits for all but it recommended aiming for 9-11 glasses. Some factors impact water consumption.

  • Physical Activity
  • Exercise
  • Temperature
  • Health (like vomiting, fever, etc required more water to replenish)
  • Elevation
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

Best ways to increase water intake in daily life.

Drink water first thing in the morning.

Wake up and kick-start your day with a glass of water!  It will set the tone for the rest of the day and most importantly drinking water supports healthy blood flow, boosts energy, and flushes out toxins, calm your emotions, and even fight feelings of anxiety but it’s not enough it has many health benefits.

Add Real Fruits and vegetables

It’s a great way to increase a water intake by eating real fruit rather than juice and adding lots of watery vegetables like cucumber, tomato; lettuce and they will increase the water intake.

Add taste to your water 

Another great way to increase hydration is by adding fruit to the water like citrus fruit, strawberry, and lemon. Mix the fruit with water and it will taste better.

Replace Sugary drinks with a watery drink

Cut down the sugary beverages and replace them with watery drinks like coconut water, buttermilk, Milk

Carry a stylish water bottle

Show off your personality with a refillable stylish water bottle, having a presence in front of your eyes will remind you to take water, and the best way to stay hydrated throughout the day is by sipping the water regularly and then taking large gulps.

Set a reminder

When busy schedule it’s easy to forget to drink water so set a reminder in your phone to drink water.

Relax time with tea

A great way to relax is with a cup of herbal tea like detox, relax better sleep, digestion, etc. Allow yourself to relax at the end of the day with herbal tea.
